Print order confirmations and production orders

Generate order confirmations, production orders and saved report formats for broadcast orders with PDF, CSV and export options.

Neural Log provides print output for orders through two main documents: the Order Confirmation and the Production Order. Both use current saved configuration and are read-only; printing never posts, charges or issues invoices.

Before you start#

  • You need a role with read access to the order, its lines, station rates and related copy.
  • Report generation requires an active administrator check and per-object/member reads.
  • Saved report formats are managed under Setup; see Setup Reference Data for format administration.

Order Confirmation#

The Order Confirmation summarizes the order schedule, customer details and projected monthly gross estimates.

1

Open the order#

From the Broadcast Order Browser, open a saved order and choose Print > Order Confirmation.

2

Select scope#

Choose All stations or a single station. The report recalculates totals for the selected scope.

3

Configure output#

Set document text (heading and bottom message), font, margins, orientation and time-class representation. You can also load a saved format.

4

Preview or download#

Click Get Confirmation to generate the PDF or CSV. The CSV uses the current typed contract (38 scalar columns; 42 columns when time classes are included).

The confirmation uses current order-line station rates for per-broadcast lines. Missing rates show as Unresolved. Package and unresolved billing bases display quantities with unavailable estimates. The output is regenerated on every request; stale results are cleared automatically.

Production Order#

The Production Order is a worksheet for production staff showing copy requirements, requested dates and scripts.

1

Open Production Order#

From a saved order, choose Print > Production Order.

2

Set date range#

Restrict the date range if needed. The First Scheduled column shows the earliest requested daily date and line-window start within the selected range.

3

Review and download#

The PDF lists Copy ID, First Scheduled, Copy Label, Length, Script ID, Expires and Produced By columns. Choose Close when done.

Production Order does not require current station prices and does not certify airing or production completion.

Saved report formats#

Both Order Confirmation and Production Order support named formats:

  • Save: store the current document text, font and margin settings.
  • Update: change an existing named format.
  • Archive / Restore: retire and recover older formats.
  • Load: apply a format to the current order without changing the order itself.

Saved formats are per-document family and do not store order, customer or station identities.

Export and printing notes#

  • PDF margins: four independent inch inputs (top, bottom, left, right). Invalid or overflow values are refused.
  • Fonts: independent installed-font drafts with measured wrapping.
  • Orientation: portrait or landscape (A4 or Letter).
  • Time classes: weekday alternatives are supported in both confirmation and production output.

All output uses authenticated, owner-bound, expiring single-use delivery. A dirty or new order editor refuses the print action. Cancel or Close never commits the parent order.
