Neural Log stores configuration at two levels: per-station settings (including document formats) and per-radio-group program options. This page explains how to navigate, view and edit both areas.
Before you start#
- You need a role that grants read and edit access to Station and RadioGroup records.
- The Delete action on stations is disabled; use IsInactive to retire a station.
- Administrative features in this section are restricted by the security policy defined in Setup > Administrator Controls > Users and Passwords.
Station settings and document formats#
Stations represent the broadcast outlets, cable channels, streaming services and other media properties you schedule and bill against. Each station carries its own log policy, automation profile and printed document settings.
Open the station list#
Step 1#
Select Setup > Administrator Controls > Station Settings / Document Formats.
Step 2#
The list shows active stations by default. Inactive stations are hidden.
Filter stations#
The Show Stations action above the list provides two choices:
- Active Stations (default): shows only stations where IsInactive is false.
- Show Inactive Stations: includes stations that have been marked inactive.
Edit a station#
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | Station name. Must be unique. |
| KindCode | Station type. Choices include Commercial Broadcast, Non-Commercial Broadcast, Cable Channel, Internet Streaming, Digital Media, Website Advertising, Newspaper/Print Media and Other Media. |
| IsInactive | When checked, the station is excluded from most browsers and schedules. |
| IsLogGenerationDisabled | When checked, log-generation controls are disabled (equalize, voice protection, live protection and automation profile editing are unavailable). This does not yet automate log generation itself. |
| EqualizeCommercialLoads | Nullable checkbox. Checked means the station equalizes commercial loads; unchecked means it does not. Unknown values display as unknown. |
| VoiceProtect / LiveProtect | Scheduling protection flags for voice-track and live segments. Flags are stored; the scheduling behavior is pending. |
| LegacyDaylightSavingRule | Imported text preserved read-only. The explicit TimeZoneId shows the target time zone. |
| LogoFile / AddressText | Logo file reference and return address shown on printed documents. |
Document formats#
Each station can have one or more DocumentTemplate records that control printed output for confirmations, production orders, log pages, invoices and account statements.
Step 1#
Open a station detail.
Step 2#
Review the DocumentTemplate list shown below the station fields.
Step 3#
Select a document to see its layout fields: Name, KindCode, PaperType, Orientation, Duplex, TopMargin, BottomMargin, LeftMargin and RightMargin.
Document-format fields do not automatically appear in every report. Use the output settings and saved formats offered by the relevant report.
Program Options#
Program Options hold radio-group-wide defaults: aging column display, finance-charge policy, calendar type, review requirements and day-of-week scheduling weights.
Open Program Options#
Step 1#
Select Setup > Administrator Controls > Program Options.
Step 2#
The list shows the current RadioGroup record. Open it to view stored fields.
Fields and meaning#
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | Radio-group name. |
| LanguageCode | UI language for this group. |
| DefaultCalendarType | Default calendar view (Day, Week, Month, etc.). |
| ARAgingColumns | Aging display mode. Choices include Month and 30-Days. |
| AllowFrontLoad | Whether front-loaded random scheduling is permitted. |
| CurrentProgramDayWeightsJson | Stored weekday probability weights for front-loaded placement. This JSON is maintained by the separate Program Day Weights action. |
| ProgramDayWeightsRevision | Revision counter for day-weight changes. |
The separate Program Day Weights action on the radio-group view opens a dedicated dialog for Monday-through-Sunday weights. Weights range from -90% to +90% relative probability and are stored with revision tracking.
Finance charges and review controls#
The following settings do not have a combined policy editor in the documented workflow:
- Finance charge basis (days unpaid, charge type, minimum, taxable, statement description and payment application order).
- Required Sales Manager, Traffic Director and Accounting Manager review.
- Lock-after-review and credit-limit enforcement.
Do not use these fields as a substitute for checking credit limits, finance-charge calculations or station ownership during the relevant operation.
Save and cancel behavior#
- Save commits changes to the station or radio-group record.
- Cancel discards unsaved changes and restores the last saved state.
- If another user changes the record while you are editing, the save may be rejected with a stale-context message. Refresh the list and reopen the record before trying again.
