Log Reports: Saved Scheduling, Bumped Items and Avails

Generate saved scheduling reports for Log, Bumped Items and Diagnostics, plus Avails Distribution Analysis and Saved Scheduling Times by station and period in Neural Log.

Neural Log provides several read-only scheduling reports for saved commercial logs. These reports show scheduled placements, bumped occurrences and template availability, using the frozen data from the highest sealed revision of each saved log. This page covers how to open, filter and export log reports.

Before you start#

Prerequisites

  • You are signed in to Neural Log.
  • You have a role that grants read access to BroadcastLog and related saved scheduling data.
  • The log you want to report is saved and has a sealed revision. Unsealed, legacy or unsupported logs are refused.

Permissions

Access is role-based through Setup > Administrator Controls > Users and Passwords under Security. Only the Administrators role is bootstrapped; additional roles are site-configured.

Saved log reports (Log, Bumped Items, Diagnostics)#

From any saved commercial log, you can open three read-only report types. These reports capture the log's current sealed revision in a fresh secured transaction and reject outdated results.

How to open a saved log report#

1

Step 1#

Open Traffic > Customer Accounts Browser or Logs > Commercial Logs and navigate to the saved log you want to report.

2

Step 2#

Select the log row so its detail opens.

3

Step 3#

Look for the log action toolbar. Choose the report action you want.

Report types#

Report Purpose Contents
Log Complete scheduled placement All template positions, current saved occurrences, frozen copy descriptions and order-line notes. Shows empty, local, network and template states distinctly.
Bumped Items Unplaced occurrences Each unplaced occurrence with its identity and reason. No invented time or position.
Diagnostics Scheduling-rule review Frozen scheduling rules from the highest sealed revision. Shows how the log engine resolved placements.

Export#

Each report dialog includes Print PDF and Export CSV. These use authenticated single-use expiring downloads. Changing the report type clears the old download link. Pending editor changes on the log must be saved or undone before the report actions are enabled.

Important notes#

  • Scheduled times are evidence of the saved schedule, not actual airtimes or airing certification.
  • Costs and charges do not appear in scheduling reports.
  • The report's fixed bounds fail explicitly rather than truncating evidence.

Saved Scheduling Times report#

Reports > Log Reports > Saved Scheduling Times — Select Station lists scheduled occurrences across all saved logs for one selected station and date range.

How to run Saved Scheduling Times#

1

Step 1#

Go to Reports > Log Reports > Saved Scheduling Times — Select Station.

2

Step 2#

In the station chooser, select exactly one station and confirm.

3

Step 3#

Choose a period preset or enter custom From and To dates. The maximum range is 366 days.

4

Step 4#

If you want to filter by customer, open the Customers tab and select specific customers. All includes every scheduled customer; None shows no scheduled rows.

5

Step 5#

Click Get report.

6

Step 6#

Review the results: scheduled occurrences, missing dates, included log revisions and occurrence counts.

What the report shows#

  • Scheduled occurrences — one row per placed occurrence with log date, frozen customer GUID and name, order/line/occurrence identity, Copy ID, template clock and duration.
  • Missing dates — dates in the range with no saved log.
  • Log totals — summary counts and durations per log.
  • Customer filtering — if you selected specific customers, only their scheduled rows appear, but the report still reads the complete station period and rejects stale data.

Sorting and grouping#

Current implementation supports up to three sort levels for scheduled rows and grouping options:

  • Customer grouping with subtotals and optional page breaks
  • Activity grouping with subtotals and optional page breaks

Sort and group choices appear in the report settings and are retained when you save a named format.

Exports#

After Get report succeeds, you can export:

  • Print PDF — A4 landscape with grouped time pairs. Up to four Length/Time pairs appear per row.
  • Export CSV — one occurrence per row, plus typed Missing date rows and Log total rows.
  • Export JSON — exact decimal values and metadata.

All exports use fresh authorized capture with the complete station/range signature.

Include Item Length#

You can choose to include the frozen item length in the output. This is a display option only and does not change the underlying scheduled data.

Clock and classifications#

Scheduled rows display the template slot clock. Current implementation does not include time-class or break-position classifications in the Saved Scheduling Times export, though those are used in the scheduling engine rules.

Avails Distribution Analysis#

Tools > Avails Distribution Analysis shows hourly template-slot usage and customer spot counts for a saved log.

How to open Avails Distribution#

You can reach Avails Distribution from three entry points:

  1. From a saved log's detail or review view, use the log action toolbar.
  2. From a saved log's editor, open Tools > Avails Distribution Analysis.
  3. From the saved log review panel.

What it shows#

  • Hourly table — for each hour 00 through 23: total local avails, scheduled, empty and reserved network slots.
  • Customer table — each frozen customer identity (GUID) with requested, scheduled and bumped counts.
  • Day totals — explicit totals for all hours and all listed customers.

Key counting rules#

  • Each resolved local template slot counts once by its frozen template clock hour.
  • Used + empty equals total local slots for each hour and the station day.
  • Network slots are a separate reserved count, never local availability.
  • A template position is one avail regardless of exact duration or break aggregate.
  • Bumped occurrences are separately counted and have no hour assignment.
  • Equal customer names on different GUIDs do not merge.

Export#

Click Print PDF or Export CSV to download the analysis. Both include hourly and customer sections. Customer tables paginate in the UI; exports include all rows.

Generation history#

Saved logs may include generation history for v2 through v4 frozen rule engines. Older v1 logs remain on a review-only path without these exports. Report generation does not create, modify or reconcile logs.

Stale context and recovery#

If a log is edited, deleted or revised after you opened a report:

  • The old report result is marked stale.
  • Exports are refused until you click Refresh or reopen the report.
  • Closing the report discards drafts and does not save data.
  • Reports Overview — period presets, saved formats, download behavior and settings.
  • Financial Reports — AR Aging, Reconciliation, Transaction Reports and sales reports.
  • Daily Scheduling — creating and editing logs that appear in these reports.
